Vice Palette and Babyliss Curls

Good Afternoon!
Today, I decided to sport a quite pink-based makeup look and loose beachy waves. Scroll down a little bit further to find out how I did it.

For my birthday, in November, I received the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette and I couldn't love it any more than I do!

On my eyes, I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion in 'original' and then used the shade "Truth" as my base. I then simply used my Sephora Airbrush Shadow brush from my set. I then used the same brush and applied the shade "Alien" and "Alchemy" on the outer corners of my eyes. And, of course, I blended with a MAC 217 blending brush. I then added the Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner to wing out my eyes followed by my Tarte mascara - Lights, Camera, Lashes.

For my lips, I used a MAC lip pencil in the shade 'Spice' with Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 101.

Next, the hair. For Christmas I got the Babyliss Thermo Ceramic Rollers. I am still practising, but today I liked the look I got with them. I have read other blog posts on them and some people get some amazing looks.

TOP TIPS:

  • The rollers will work so much better if you use them on slightly damp hair that has been moussed! And don't let out the rollers until the hair is 100% dry. This way, your curls will be a lot more durable.
  • Leave the rollers in for quite a while. The longer they are in, the better the curls.
Thank you for reading and please feel free to leave any questions and I will answer!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Lots of love,

Velvet Lips

Lucky little me managed to get my hands on one of Mac's most sought after lippies: Velvet Teddy. It is supposed to be one of Kylie Jenner's faves. It had been sold out everywhere for ages, so as soon as I saw it in stock on the Mac website, I didn't hesitate. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the order arrived. Bearing in mind it is a week until Christmas, my order arrived within two days... IMPRESSED!

Anyhow, on to the makeup. I typically tend to go for a similar makeup look on a daily basis. I understand a lot of people may think this is OTT for everyday, but it is what makes me feel comfortable.

Today, I used the Makeup Forever HD starter kit. It is a great kit and I could only get my hands on it when I went to New York last summer. For me, the foundation doesn't last as well as Mac Studio Fix Fluid, but it is still great none-the-less.

I think that the lipstick would work 10 times better with a lip liner. However, I only own one and I accidentally left it at uni. BUT, fear not, Santa is bringing me one or two!

Hope you enjoyed reading this and are having a wonderful Christmas time!

Leaver's Ball (old post)

Hey hey hey!!!
I feel as if I haven't blogged in forever. And since this is the beginning of my summer holidays, I thought I would get into the swing of things again.
I did used to have an old blog but I thought it would be nice to start fresh. In the coming months I will be off to Paris and New York at some stage so keep your eyes peeled for me blogging away my thoughts.
So... I have just left college and am hoping to be going to university later this year. My leaver's ball was last week and so I thought I would share with you my Leaver's look.
Enjoy! Xxx

WALKIES

The other day I went on a walk. Just thought I would write about it because it was realllllly good fun. My dad and I went early in the morning to build up our appetites for a lovely homemade roast dinner.

While the walk was a bit tasking and challenging at times (I'm talking a hill that is basically at an 80 degree angle (or something like that haha)) it was great exercise.

I really wish I was more healthy and I love exercise but I just never really have anyone to go with. Once we got to the top of the hill, which I have to admit was a very uncertain possibility, the view was beautiful and we just stood up there for a good 20 minutes looking at the scenery. It was a misty day, but nonetheless still lovely.

DESIGNER WISH LIST

I always think wish lists sound so materialistic, but anyway, I have done one. It is my 18th in November and I have been saving lots of money so hopefully a few of these items will be mine!

I really need a good watch and I love the Vivienne Westwood ones as they are so feminine and girly. The Jeffrey Campbell boots, now I don't think I will ever get them, but there is no harm in wishing is there! I just doubt I would spend my money on a bunch of doll heads.

Michael Kors do the nicest bags and purses and I hope to get one of each as a little keep sake for my 18th as I think the plain black ones are so timeless and classic.

Now for the iPhone. I think I may be one of the only people left who doesn't own one? To be honest, I want the iPhone for the useful apps on-the-go, like maps and stuff and also for how chic it looks. If anything, the fact everyone else has it is what puts me off!

Thanks for reading xxx
